Ngece Rinjeu Foundation
Who We are
The Ngece Rinjeu Foundation for Education and Economic Empowerment (NRF) is a registered non-profit organization committed to uplifting women, youth, and children through education, clean energy, and sustainable livelihoods.
Founded in 2001 in memory of Dr. Ngece Rinjeu, the Foundation carries forward his vision of ensuring that no child is denied education due to poverty, hunger, or disease. Over the years, we’ve grown into a leading community-based organization promoting green entrepreneurship, education access, and environmental conservation across Kenya and beyond.
With headquarters in Chuka and a liaison office in Nairobi, we work closely with local and international partners to create lasting impact — empowering communities to thrive while protecting the planet.
Our Journey
Our story began in 2001, inspired by the vision of Dr. Ngece Rinjeu, a man devoted to improving lives through education and community empowerment. What started as a small family initiative to support needy children has grown into a nationally recognized foundation driving education, clean energy, and sustainable development across Kenya.
Over the years, we’ve expanded our reach through partnerships, innovation, and community-led programs — supporting students through scholarships, empowering women and youth with enterprise opportunities, and restoring the environment through tree planting and renewable energy projects.
Today, the Ngece Rinjeu Foundation continues to build on this legacy — turning compassion into action and creating a future where every child, woman, and youth can thrive with dignity and opportunity.
